There are all kinds of activities, but they've been kinda curtailed. We have a resident who plays the piano for us twice a week, and there's another woman who plays the piano during the dinner hour. There is no end of activities if you want to participate. In the restaurant itself, we have high school seniors staff members, and they are very well trained and very efficient for the old people. We've been here for over five years now, and we have been very satisfied with it. They were going to raise the rent a considerable amount, but that didn't happen. ReviewerRD11262020v We're living in The Village at Unity. I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident It's probably a pretty good value for the money. The value for the money seems to be about average for that type of situation. Some of the food is good, but my mom didn't like the lunch so much. They have this thing on your wrist, so they seem to have a good handle on it. They have three pull cords, and they're all for emergencies. I understand they have to be very careful with their medications and anything that they do. I understand they have to be like that, but they had a little trouble getting faxes from the family doctor. The one thing I don't like (and I think this is the problem with all assisted living) is that they're very rigid about the medication, unless they get a direct doctor's order. They seem to have some activities, so that was good. We took a tour, and everything seemed clean and well maintained. There aren't too many assisted living places in our area. So that's one thing that was nice because my mom likes to take walks. It seemed to have a fairly large ground around it with different places to walk and sit. Our reasons why we chose this one is the location and because it had a nice area around it for walking. There's independent living, memory care, and a nursing home. Eva My mom has moved into The Hamlet, which is part of The Village at Unity.
